This position will work in our Baton Rouge, LA, New Orleans, LA, Birmingham, AL, or Auburn, AL office.\nKey Responsibilities:\nNetwork Design & Implementation:\nDesign and implement network solutions in Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments\nConfigure and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls\nDeploy and manage security solutions including IDS/IPS systems\nImplement network automation and scripting solutions\nOptimize network performance and reliability\nSecurity Management:\nLead security incident response and investigation\nManage intrusion detection and prevention systems\nImplement and maintain network security controls\nPerform security analysis and monitoring\nEnsure compliance with security standards\nTechnical Leadership:\nAbility to interface with technical and non-technical customers\nAct as escalation point for complex network issues\nMentor and train team members on network technologies\nMaintain technical documentation and procedures\nEvaluate and recommend new technologies\nCoordinate with third-party vendors\nInfrastructure Management:\nMonitor network performance and availability\nPerform network updates and maintenance\nManage network capacity and growth\nImplement disaster recovery solutions\nOptimize network costs and efficiency\nRequired Qualifications:\n6+ years experience with enterprise network technologies\n5+ years hands-on solution deployment experience\nStrong knowledge of Azure cloud technologies\nExperience with security tools and analysis\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)\nTechnical Skills:\nNetwork protocols (BGP, IGRP, DNS, VRRP, etc.)\nSecurity tools (i.e. Wireshark, Snort, nmap)\nSIEM platforms (i.e. ArcSight, QRadar, Splunk)\nCloud networking technologies\nNetwork automation and scripting\nVPN and VLAN configuration\nCisco networking equipment\nFortiNet network equipment\nPreferred Certifications:\nCCNA or equivalent\nCCNP, CCIE\nSecurity+ or CISSP\nIAT Level I/II certification\nAzure networking certifications\nSkills and Competencies:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nExcellent communication skills\nProject management capabilities\nBusiness process understanding\nTeam collaboration\nDocumentation expertise\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nComplete accurate timesheets\nParticipate in training and development\nSupport special projects as needed\nConsistently demonstrate \"Can Do, Will Do\" attitude\nOther duties as assigned\nSuccess Metrics:\nTimesheets are accurate and submitted on time\nNetwork uptime, availability, optimization and automation\nSecurity incident response time\nProject completion rates\nDocumentation quality\nTeam knowledge transfer\nCustomer satisfaction scores\nCost optimization achievements\nTravel\nOccasional overnight travel, less than once per month.\nPredominantly operates in an office environment. Some periods of time may be spent in computer room and communications equipment spaces for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment.\nMust be able to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100 lbs. with assistance, to transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to pick-up from vendors and deliver stock and materials to customers upon request, to wear personal protective equipment.
