He/she ensures project budget, project schedule, and product cost targets are accurately forecasted and executed to meet the requirements of the Company.\n\nThe Sr. Project Engineer, Electrical maintains regular communication with the project team, design partners, and management. Will have the opportunity to learn the innerworkings of the R&D department and the broader Orascoptic business.\n\nThe Project Sr. Engineer, Electrical executes product development in the areas of requirements specification, electromechanical design and documentation, design reviews, prototyping, design verification and validation, and manufacturing process and fixture design.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nEvaluates and defines electromechanical parts and systems.\n\nServes as electrical engineering lead, performing analysis, design, documentation, and prototyping as needed; reviewing designs and deliverables from design partners.\n\nAssures product quality by designing testing methods; testing prototypes; confirming manufacturing and assembly processes.\n\nDetermines product/project specifications by studying product design, marketing/customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.\n\nPlans/manages multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nDetermines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project tasks.\n\nDetermines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and tasks; assigning personnel to phases and tasks; reviewing bids from design partners.\n\nMaintains project schedule by monitoring project progress and risks; coordinating activities; resolving problems.\n\nMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.\n\nSupport identification and qualification of design partners and suppliers\n\nResponsible for maintaining an emphasis on continuous improvement\n\nSupport Envista Business System and FDA/ISO compliance by adhering to all procedures and work instructions\n\nJob Requirements\n\nEducation and Training: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent\n\nSpecial Skills/Knowledge: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g. Altium); project estimation and scheduling skills; ability to work independently and allocate time among several tasks; strong communication and writing skills\n\nPreferred Skills/Knowledge: Cross cultural experience managing product development through partnering and outsourcing. Protecting IP. Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) tools (Agile, Master Control). Knowledge of FDA/ISO/GMP requirements.\n\nWork Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in engineering, product development, and project management\n\nPhysical Demands: None\n\nTravel Requirements: up to 10%\n\nTarget Market Salary Range\nActual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs.
