Quality Engineer (Beloit)
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join a dedicated team focused on operational excellence. The role is split significantly between CMM Programming (50%) and broader Quality Engineering functions. You will be responsible for enhancing inspection efficiencies through statistical tools, advanced gauging, and standardized documentation.Quality Engineer Responsibilities:- Write and edit programs using PC-DMIS software based on model-based definitions and technical drawings- Develop work instructions for CMM setup; ensure correct measurement techniques are applied per GR&R results and customer specifications- Prepare and manage paperwork for FAI (First Article Inspection), PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and SPC- Maintain calibration systems for fixtures and tools; support AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems and audits- Collaborate with production to resolve quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions (CAR/RMA)- Act as a technical lead by training employees on measurement equipment and proper inspection techniquesQualifications for Quality Engineer:- At least five years in quality control and dimensional measurement within a machine shop or manufacturing environment- Background in metals manufacturing; automotive or aerospace machining preferred- Expertise in PC-DMIS- Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)- Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 standards- Results-oriented mindset with a drive for process improvement- Excellent communication skillsBenefits:- 401(k) with company match- Medical, dental and vision insurance- Short-term and long-term disability; life insurance- Flexible spending plans- Paid holidays and PTO
