Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.\n\nJob Description:\nParsons is looking for a talented Bridge Engineer – Senior and Principal to join our team full-time to support one of the many large transformative transportation projects that we have either won, are currently pursuing, or will pursue across the nation.\nSome of the larger projects are located in the states of:\nTennessee\nGeorgia\nNorth Carolina\nVirginia\nIndiana\nIn this role, you will help deliver the design for projects that have a construction value greater than $1 billion, and in turn assist in enhancing the mobility, safety, and reliability for communities who live along and travel through these critical corridors.\nThis position is remote, and the selected candidate will have flexibility in work location while still supporting virtual collaboration with Parsons teams.\nParsons is one of the premier design-build firms in the country with over 16,000 employees worldwide and nearly $7 Billion in revenue. Most recently, we have been the engineer of record or have assisted on some of the most challenging projects in the country, including:\nthe Gordie Howe Bridge near Detroit, MI\nthe Clear Path projects in Indianapolis, IN\nBrent Spence project in Cincinnati, OH\nthe SR 400 project in Atlanta, GA\nThese high-visibility Design-Build and Public Private Partnership \"P3\" projects and many others are career defining opportunities and offer complex, challenging work for our entire professional staff and new hires, who work seamlessly together from offices across the country.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nPerform conventional and moderately complex (long-span, post-tensioned, cable-stayed, or highly skewed) bridge engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately under minimal to no supervision.\nPerform, oversee and validate complex 3D structural analyses, seismic modeling, and dynamic load testing\nMay be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific group of bridges on small to large-size projects.\nProvides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.\nCollaborate with internal engineering disciplines including Geotechnical, roadway, environmental, and drainage teams.\nCommitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.\nEstablish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders.\nWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:\n8-12 years or more of related work experience with bridge engineering design\nBS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis is required\nMS in Structural Engineering is a plus\nPE licensure is required\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nProficient knowledge of MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD\nComprehensive knowledge of industry standard and specialty bridge design and analysis software\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\nNone\nThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.\nFor more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
