Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented, technically savvy Land Administrator to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a non-operating investor, Nexus manages a diverse portfolio of oil and gas assets – including undeveloped leasehold, working interests, and mineral and royalty interests – requiring precise, up-to-date land records to support informed investment decisions. This role is central to maintaining the integrity of our land data and ensuring our records reflect accurate, real-time information.Reporting to the VP of Land and A&D, the Land Administrator will serve as a utility player, managing our Pak Land database, processing OCC mail notifications, supporting acquisition workflows, and collaborating with the Data and management teams on land mapping and reporting. The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of Oklahoma oil and gas land experience, a working knowledge of OCC procedures, and the technical aptitude to adopt new tools and build efficient workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for a growth-minded professional seeking to deepen their land expertise while contributing to the efficiency and organization of our land processes within a high-performing, lean team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLand Database ManagementManage and maintain the Pak Land database as the primary system of record for all leasehold, unit, and well informationEnter and update lease information into the land system and Nexus’ internal deal tracking database with a high degree of accuracyCross-reference leases with applicable units, wells, and tracts to ensure data integrity across the portfolioSet up new wells in the land system in coordination with the Accounting and Engineering teamsOCC Mail & Regulatory NotificationsProcess incoming OCC mail notifications and determine appropriate action for each noticeLead the initial screening process to identify, distribute, and/or file regulatory correspondenceLead the creation and ongoing refinement of automation workflows for notice-specific actions, improving team efficiency over timeAcquisitions & RecordsEnsure all conveyances are recorded and complete for each acquisition, maintaining organized and audit-ready land recordsSupport the land team with due diligence and closing tasks on new acquisitions as neededMaintain proactive oversight of Division Order requests submitted to operators by verifying the accuracy of Working Interest and Net Revenue Interest ownership, and reporting any discrepancies identified in received Division Orders to the Vice President of Land for resolution.Collaboration & MappingCollaborate with the Data team and management to generate land data maps and reports as neededPartner cross-functionally with Engineering, Geology, and Business Development teams to provide land data context that supports investment decisionsAdministrative SupportProvide light administrative support, including checking mail and assisting with general office managementContribute to a well-organized, high-functioning team environmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent years of professional experienceMinimum of 3-5 years of land experience in the oil and gas industry, with preference given to candidates with Oklahoma-specific experienceWorking knowledge of OCC procedures, rules, and regulationsExperience with Pak Land or a comparable land management software system preferredGIS mapping experience is a plus; a genuine interest in developing this skill is equally valuedTechnically savvy with demonstrated experience or strong willingness to adopt AI tools and emerging technologiesHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working proficiency across the Microsoft Office 365 suiteExtremely detail-oriented with a high standard for data accuracy and record-keepingDemonstrated experience maintaining high-volume data in a system of recordGrowth-minded and self-motivated, with the ability to identify process improvements and take initiativeStrong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally in a lean team environmentMust reside within commuting distance to Tulsa, OK Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers an attractive compensation and benefits package. The base annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000, depending on experience, including participation in our annual bonus program. Total cash compensation includes base salary and employer-paid benefits for Medical, Dental, Life, Vision, and long-term disability, including an employer-paid HSA. This position also offers participation in our equity program after the first year.
