Our products include optical and RF communication systems as well as sophisticated image processing & visualization systems. We are currently looking for an Environmental Systems Test Engineer with experience in opto-mechanical system integration, system test planning, and system test execution.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nProven track record of working with test, flight, and safety-critical hardware, tools, and shop equipment.\n\nPrevious experience with spacecraft/satellite environmental test development and/or execution, hardware ownership (responsible engineer), or hardware qualification and/or acceptance testing.\n\nHardware/software and opto-mechanical system integration\n\nDevelopment of system-level test plans, based on system requirements\n\nDevelopment of system test approaches and test fixtures, especially for optical-mechanical systems\n\nDefinition and execution of system optical and/or communication performance-tests\n\nPrototype module test and debug support\n\nSupport of optical, electrical and mechanical component selection and test\n\nSystem-level troubleshooting\n\nExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.\n\nDevelop documentation to support troubleshooting efforts\n\nCoordinate with design engineer subject matter experts across each affected system under test to integrate the identified system verification requirements into the detailed test plan for the development risk reduction and/or verification run for record event as appropriate.\n\nConduct test design reviews, integration readiness reviews, and test readiness reviews for your events.\n\nQualifications:\n*Required:*\n\n5+ years’ experience in bring-up of electro-optical systems\n\nExperience with Thermal Vacuum Chambers (TVAC) and Vibration testing\n\nExperience using equipment such as VOAs, OSAs, Power Meters, oscilloscopes\n\nUnderstanding of communications: serial, USB, ethernet\n\nUnderstanding of electronic, optical, and mechanical systems\n\nSelf-motivated and self-directed individual, with little supervision necessary\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nMust be willing to work Second and Third shifts as needed\n\n*Desired:*\n\nMaster’s degree or PhD in in Mechanical, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.\n\nProficient use of lab automation software (Python preferred)\n\npreferred)\n\n-\n\nWhat You Can Expect:\n\nA culture of integrity.\n\nAt CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
