The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mobile development, particularly with the React Native framework, and will play a critical role in designing and implementing high-quality mobile applications. This position requires on-site work in Ashburn, VA 5 days per week for the first year of employment.\r\nJob Responsibilities Design and develop engaging, intuitive and reusable React Native components.\r\nUse modern software engineering tools including VS Code, GitLab, and Atlassian suites for ticketing, documentation, development, and testing.\r\nPresent solutions at formal and informal design reviews in conjunction with the Technical Lead, and document the design according to the Government's system lifecycle methodology.\r\nUnderstand how to interface with native code on Android and iOS from React Native.\r\nCode unit tests and end-to-end tests using the framework of choice of the team.\r\nParticipate in daily scrums and code reviews.\r\nKeep up to date with React Native technology updates and trends.\r\nRequired Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field with 2+ years of technical experience.\r\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in mobile development and React Native.\r\nProven mobile development experience using React Native.\r\nExperience with native iOS and Android.\r\nSome Detox experience.\r\nProficient in TypeScript and JavaScript.\r\nConstructing and debugging CI/CD build pipelines for mobile targets.\r\nStrong experience with Redux, Flux, or other state-management libraries.\r\nUnderstanding of how REST APIs work.\r\nUnderstanding of microservice architecture.\r\nUnit test and end-to-end test development.\r\nDesired Skills and Experience Experience using RTK Query.\r\nUnderstanding of how containerization and orchestration tools work.\r\nKnowledge of other mobile development frameworks or platforms.\r\nExperience working on an agile team such as Scrum.\r\nExcellent written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels.\r\nStrong initiative: take a high-level requirement, ask questions, seek clarifications, and get the job done.\r\nAbility to work in a high-pressure, tight-deadline environment.\r\nAbility to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment.\r\nMaster's degree in computer science or related engineering field is a plus.\r\nCustomer Requirements Clearance – ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP background investigation.\r\nCitizenship – must be a US citizen.\r\nLocation – required to be on-site in Ashburn, VA 5 days per week for the first year of employment; after the first year, the option to work a hybrid schedule (2–3 days on-site) depending on team needs.
