Reporting to the Operational Evaluation Deployment Lead, this role is responsible for operating the Ground Control Station (GCS) during uncrewed flight evaluations. You will demonstrate system capabilities to customers and partner with developmental engineering teams to channel operational data and user feedback directly into product updates.\r\nResponsibilitiesMonitor and control the J208 Ground Control Station (GCS) during human-on-the-loop autonomous operational evaluation flights\r\nEnsure operational compliance with mission plans, airspace clearances, and ground procedures during remote flight activities\r\nDemonstrate GCS functions and autonomous flight capabilities to prospective and current civil and military customers\r\nDocument system performance and partner with developmental engineering to communicate software and workflow refinements\r\nParticipate in pre-mission setup, link verification, and post-flight debriefings\r\nTravel up to 50% domestically and internationally in support of CONUS/OCONUS evaluation deployments\r\nRequiredBachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience\r\nDemonstrated experience operating Ground Control Stations (GCS) for Group 3+ uncrewed aircraft\r\nActive US Security Clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance post-hire\r\nWillingness and ability to roughly 50% domestically (CONUS) and internationally (OCONUS)\r\nPart 61 (not- one zero seven) Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating\r\nThis position must meet US export control compliance requirements, therefore a candidate must qualify as a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15. “US Person” includes US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.\r\nDesiredExperience with human-on-the-loop or supervisory autonomy architectures.\r\nFlight operations experience on US military installations or controlled airspaces.\r\nExperience with military aviation\r\nExperience as an operational test pilot of a UAV/RPA\r\nCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $139,700 - $170,000/yr.
