Job Description Key Functions & Desired QualificationsSuffolk County, Long Island based civil construction company has immediate opportunity for an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team. Required experience with heavy earth moving, drainage, sewer, water & demolition estimating.Capable of preparing comprehensive cost estimates, takeoffs, crew compositions & productions. Knowledge of civil construction principles with the ability to read plans & specifications.Coordinate & strategize with ownership to identify prospective projects to be added to the bid log & to determine the scope of work in compliance with the Owners' requirements. Compatibility working with subcontractors & project management teams including preconstruction topics, change orders & billing resolutions.Review all department estimates to ensure accuracy & compliance prior to submission.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & the estimating software systems Insight & Bluebeam.Demonstrating an independent, efficient & strong workmanship paired with interpersonal communication skills while still meeting firm deadlines.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) 4% MatchHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offWork Location: In personCompany DescriptionReputable heavy construction site contractor on Long Island for over 40 years.Company DescriptionReputable heavy construction site contractor on Long Island for over 40 years.
