We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our busy kitchen operations. If you're passionate about great food, teamwork, and creating a top-notch culinary experience, we'd love to meet you!About the RoleAs our Kitchen Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our kitchen - managing inventory, supervising food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and leading a talented team of culinary staff. You'll ensure that every dish meets our high standards for freshness, flavor, and presentation, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.What You'll Do* Oversee and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring food is prepared and served according to Uncle Giuseppe's recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines* Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment* Conduct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed* Maintain and monitor kitchen inventory, placing orders based on menu needs and business demand* Partner with department managers to develop menu items, set pricing, and determine portion sizes* Schedule shifts based on business needs, holidays, and special events* Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment* Conduct regular inventories and implement measures to minimize waste* Perform additional duties and projects as assignedFood Safety & Quality* Oversee all food safety, inventory, and quality assurance processes* Ensure food is stored, labeled, and handled according to proper safety standards* Monitor product quality and consistency throughout the day* Enforce food safety compliance among all team membersWhat We're Looking For* High school diploma or equivalent required* 3-5 years of experience managing a high-volume kitchen* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team* Excellent communication and organizational abilities* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays* Food Safety Certification required* Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)Working Conditions* Frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces* Regular bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
