Apply online today!\nSummary: The Traveling Skilled Construction Technician is a cross-trained craft professional responsible for supporting interior construction activities on tenant improvement, renovation, retail refresh, and light industrial projects throughout the United States. This is a travel-intensive role requiring deployment to project locations nationwide in support of Sevan’s self-perform operations. Working under the direction of a Foreman and/or Superintendent, this role performs a variety of construction tasks across multiple trades, including framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring preparation, doors and hardware, finishes, and punch list activities.\nTravel Requirements:\nExtensive nationwide travel is required.\nEmployees should expect to travel to project locations for extended periods based on business needs.\nCompany-paid lodging, travel accommodations, and applicable per diem are provided in accordance with company policy.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerform general construction activities supporting tenant improvement, renovation, retail refresh, and light industrial projects.\nIndependently execute assigned interior construction scopes based on skill level and support Multi-Trade Carpenters on larger or more complex installations, including framing, drywall, ceilings, doors and hardware, flooring preparation, and finish work.\nPerform selective demolition and removal of existing building materials and finishes.\nSupport installation of metal stud framing, gypsum board systems, acoustical ceilings (ACT), and interior specialties.\nPerform flooring preparation activities, including patching, leveling, grinding, and surface preparation.\nAssist with installation of doors, frames, hardware, trim, and finish carpentry components.\nSupport painting, drywall finishing, tile installation, punch list, and project closeout activities as assigned.\nRead and interpret basic construction drawings, specifications, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks.\nPerform basic layout, measurements, and material preparation for assigned work activities.\nLoad, unload, transport, stage, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.\nSafely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout all phases of construction.\nFollow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and all applicable regulations.\nExecute assigned work activities under the direction of the Foreman and coordinate effectively with project team members.\nAssist with project mobilization and demobilization activities.\nTravel to project locations as required.\nParticipate in safety meetings, training programs, and skill development opportunities.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\nTwo (2) or more years of construction, renovation, tenant improvement, retail, hospitality, industrial, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred.\nExperience performing general construction activities, including demolition, framing support, drywall installation, ceilings, material handling, flooring preparation, and punch list work preferred.\nExperience safely using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and basic construction equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret basic construction drawings, specifications, and work instructions preferred.\nExperience working on commercial construction, renovation, or occupied-facility projects preferred.\nOSHA 10 certification required or ability to obtain; OSHA 30 preferred.\nValid driver's license preferred.\nAbility and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.\nWhy Join Sevan?\nCompany-paid travel\nCompany-paid lodging\nPer diem while traveling\nOpportunity for overtime\nAdvancement into Carpenter, Foreman and Superintendent roles\nYear-round nationwide work\nHigh-quality tools and equipment\nTraining and career development\nSevan Multi-Site Solutions is a veteran-owned business that provides construction, program management, real estate & site development, and architecture & engineering services for restaurant, grocery, fuel and convenience store, retail, and government sectors nationwide.
