Sales Consultant – B2B (FASTSIGNS – The Woodlands) Position Description
A Sales Consultant position with FASTSIGNS provides the opportunity to work with businesses across many industries to solve real, practical communication challenges. This role focuses on discovery, solution design, and relationship management—not production or project execution.
Sales Consultants at FASTSIGNS work within a defined support structure that includes estimating, project management, and production teams. Success in this role comes from strong customer conversations, clear documentation, and disciplined follow-through—not from carrying projects alone.
You will spend your time meeting with clients, assessing needs, identifying opportunities, prospecting for new business, networking, and managing customer relationships. Projects vary by customer and application, but the sales process, tools, and internal support are consistent.
The challenge is not learning every product—it is learning how to consistently match customer needs to the right solution within a proven process. We provide structured onboarding and training to establish the fundamentals, with ongoing coaching and feedback as skills develop.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a sales pipeline through a combination of existing customers, company-provided leads, referrals, networking, and targeted prospecting
Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate signage and visual communication solutions
Accurately document all sales activity, notes, and pipeline updates in HubSpot (CRM discipline is a core performance expectation)
Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and production teams to ensure clear handoffs and successful project execution
Prepare and manage estimates, artwork approvals, deposits, permits (when required), POS entry, and reporting according to established center procedures
Manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously while maintaining clear communication with customers
Achieve monthly and annual sales goals
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards
Necessary Qualifications
Ability to build and maintain a sales pipeline through repeat business, referrals, and networking
Comfort working within a defined sales process while continuously improving skills through feedback and coaching
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially related to CRM usage and documentation
Ability to manage both larger and smaller projects concurrently without losing follow-through
Ability to build effective working relationships with internal support teams
Understanding of consultative sales principles and the ability to guide customers toward appropriate solutions
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $35,000
Commission Paid Monthly:
8% of closed in-house sales
8% of profit on vended sales
Company provides some leads and existing accounts
Driven Sales Consultants earn $50–60k in their first year and $70–80k in their second year as they build a repeat customer base and referral pipeline.

Ideal Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in outside sales or commission-based sales preferred
Prior B2B consultative sales experience preferred
Experience in the sign and graphics industry is a plus, but not required
