This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting function for Hurco North America while providing financial leadership and operational support across the business.\n\nThe Division Controller partners closely with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Service, Operations, and Executive Management to ensure strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and informed business decision-making. This position plays a critical role in driving financial performance, improving business processes, and supporting the division's long-term strategic objectives.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\nLead and oversee all aspects of the North America accounting function.\nDirect the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations.\nManage the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for Hurco North America, including Hurco USA and Hurco Midwest.\nAnalyze financial performance, operating results, and key variances to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.\nCoordinate the annual business planning process and quarterly financial forecasting.\nDevelop, implement, and monitor accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.\nPartner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate requirements.\nOversee accounts receivable, collections, and credit risk management for distributors and end customers.\nCollaborate with senior leadership in the development and execution of strategic business initiatives.\nProvide financial guidance and decision support to Sales, Marketing, Service, Supply Chain, and Operations.\nDrive continuous improvement through business process optimization and operational excellence initiatives.\nDevelop and implement performance measurement tools, including balanced scorecards and key performance indicators.\nMonitor industry, operational, and financial trends to proactively identify business risks and opportunities.\nEnsure day-to-day business transactions are processed in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA a plus.\nCPA preferred.\nMinimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance.\nExperience overseeing financial accounting, cost accounting, credit, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.\nPublic accounting experience with a Big Five/Big Four accounting firm strongly preferred.\nManufacturing industry experience within a multinational organization preferred.\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.\nProven leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.\nExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and overall PC proficiency.\n\nWhy Hurco?\nAt Hurco, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on a global manufacturing organization known for innovation, quality, and customer success.
