In the ATG-Packaging group at Apple, we are seeking a senior process engineer to participate in the development of exciting, new products! You will engage to provide module assembly solutions and working with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers to develop and deploy new modules to mass production. Your efforts will be groundbreaking, often literally. We are looking for individuals who are creative in solving sophisticated problems with experience in high-volume manufacturing.\n\nDescription\n\nWork as the key module process engineer supporting sophisticated, high-volume modules for iPhone, Watch, and, Accessories.\n\nProvide robust leadership in the areas of module assembly process, materials, equipment.\n\nWork with factory partners to develop MP intent equipment, materials, and process.\n\nProvide communication and program phase reviews to senior management.\n\nInternational travel (10-15%) to factory partner sites will be required.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nMS or Ph.D. and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.\n\nProven fundamentals in the materials, high-precision mechanics, and automated equipment.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of adhesive technology, manufacturing process, process design rules.\n\nHands-on experience in the development of adhesive bonding, material understanding, and automated equipment for ultrahigh-volume manufacturing.\n\nFamiliar with Laser systems and laser material joining and processing, molding, large panel lamination, and process integration preferred.\n\nExceptional technology development & project management skills.\n\nStrong communication & collaborative skills.\n\nCuriosity and creativity in problem solving preferred.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.\n\nPay & Benefits\n\nAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.\n\nApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
