This role serves as a key strategic partner to the CEO, offering the opportunity to lead the legal function for a complex public entity during a period of significant commercial expansion.Key ResponsibilitiesPublic Company Governance: Directing all SEC filings, public disclosures, and capital markets compliance to ensure the highest standards of transparency.Transactional Leadership: Acting as the lead legal architect for strategic M&A activity and complex commercial agreements.Executive Advisory: Serving as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors, providing critical guidance on strategic risk and corporate structure.Operational Risk Management: Proactively identifying and evaluating legal risks associated with a large-scale portfolio of assets and evolving market regulations.Who You AreProven Public GC Tenure: You are a seasoned executive with a track record as a sitting General Counsel within a publicly traded company.Renewables Industry Expert: You possess significant experience in the renewable energy sector, with a deep understanding of unique legal and regulatory challenges.Strategic Business Partner: You are an agile thinker capable of navigating sophisticated executive dynamics while delivering modern, scalable legal solutions.Compensation & VisibilityLocation: Based in Houston, TX.Package: Base salary of $275,000 – $350,000 plus a competitive executive compensation package.
