Ready to shape the future of mobility with us?\nYOUR ROLE\nAs a Senior Algorithm Engineer on our team, you will be part of Aptiv's Advanced Safety group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.\nThe Tracking and Sensor Fusion Team is located in our Troy, MI Tech Center. We are looking for Automated Driving Algorithm Developers, who will be responsible for developing advanced sensor fusion and vehicle tracking algorithms within Aptiv that meet the requirement of L0-L3 autonomous driving system.\nIn your daily job you will:\nAlgorithm development for Tracking and Sensor Fusion\nDesign, integrate, test and release software/algorithm to internal and external customers\nAlgorithm validation and functional performance Improvement in various environments\nHelp resolve the challenging perception problems from different global programs\nCollaborate with the downstream teams to support the L0-L3 autonomous driving system globally.\nYOUR BACKGROUND\nKey skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant filed\n2+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object tracking\nGood understanding of tracking filters, data association and machine learning algorithms\nCritical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills\nUnderstanding of ASPICE\nBasic knowledge of radar signal processing\n3+ years of C++ and Python\nExperience with version control and issue tracking on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Jira, Jenkins or similar)\nFlexibility to change to different perception tasks\nNice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):\nPhD in Engineering or relevant field\n5+ years’ experience in Automated Driving algorithm design and implementation\nReal-world L2 or higher level automated driving system development\nExperience with Python and ROS\nKnowledge of vehicle dynamics, numerical methods and statistic methods\nExperience in code profiling and optimization\nWHY JOIN US?\nYou can grow at Aptiv.
