Quality Inspector

Lee Spring is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in Bristol, CT. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform First Piece, In-Process, and Final Inspections for production runsComplete First Article Inspections (FAI) as neededVerify dimensional and visual characteristics of springs, wire forms, and related products using precision measurement tools and gaugesRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (including GD&T)Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify and report non-conforming material and assist with corrective action processesConduct equipment calibration checks and maintain calibration logsUse precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and gauges to verify complianceSupport quality system initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement activitiesCollaborate with production, setup, and engineering personnel to resolve quality issues and drive improvementsAssist in maintaining a clean, organized inspection area and adhere to all safety standards Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:Minimum 3-5 years of quality inspection experience in spring manufacturing or a closely related precision metal industry (not an entry-level position)Strong proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, comparators, etc.)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerancesExperience performing and documenting First Article Inspections (FAI)Knowledge of calibration procedures and quality management systems (ISO 9001 or AS9100 experience preferred)High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical coursework or certifications in metrology, inspection, or manufacturing preferredAbility to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to lift or carry a minimum of 25 lbs. Salary will vary based on experience and/or education, starting hourly rate begins at $24.00.
