This role involves leading large teams of software engineers and data scientists to develop high-quality, foundational large language models (LLMs). The position focuses on delivering superior supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) datasets, ensuring optimal outcomes in quality, throughput, and cost. The work is central to advancing AI capabilities and transforming enterprises through reliable, high-impact systems.Key Responsibilities:• Lead and manage teams of 20+ engineers specializing in Python, JavaScript, Java, and other languages to execute technical tasks efficiently.• Oversee the development and delivery of supervised fine-tuning (SFT) datasets for large language models with a focus on quality and scalability.• Direct reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) initiatives to enhance model performance and alignment with human intent.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SFT and RLHF workflows into end-to-end AI training pipelines.• Monitor throughput, cost efficiency, and dataset quality metrics to ensure alignment with project goals and business objectives.Required Skills & Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees preferred.• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.• Proven track record managing teams that develop and deploy machine learning models, particularly in supervised learning or reinforcement learning contexts.• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in JavaScript, Java, or other long-tail programming languages relevant to backend development.• Experience with data pipeline design, dataset curation, and evaluation frameworks for LLM training and fine-tuning.• Familiarity with tools and platforms used in AI model training, such as distributed computing frameworks and version control systems.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, research-driven environment with a focus on iterative improvement and measurable outcomes.More About the Opportunity:This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a global leader in the Artificial Intelligence industry, contributing to the development of cutting-edge large language models.
