The campus is close to Washington, DC’s I-270 Technology Corridor, top universities, and government agencies.\nCatalent Pharma Solutions in Harmans, MD is hiring a Senior Program Manager. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for ensuring projects are managed effectively and aligned with client expectations. This role oversees client contracts and leads the full project lifecycle—initiating, planning, executing, and monitoring.\nThe Role:\nLead and deliver program objectives within scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations\nEnsure adherence to sound project management practices\nBalance multiple priorities with minimal supervision\nManage cross-functional project teams\nDevelop and maintain overall project plans and schedules (including tech transfer)\nMaintain collaborative, solution-focused communication with clients\nProvide regular project updates and progress reports\nMonitor milestones, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality completion\nTroubleshoot issues and promote innovative, data-driven solutions\nCoach and mentor other program managers\nStrengthen program management capabilities across the organization\nApply project management expertise along with knowledge of biological sciences and finance\nDrive programs forward and overcome obstacles independently\nLead without direct authority and influence stakeholders\nBuild strong cross-functional relationships and resolve conflicts effectively\nCommunicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders\nAdapt within evolving organizational and program structures\nPerform other duties as assigned\nThe Candidate:\nBachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (required)\nAdvanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD) preferred\n5–7+ years of direct experience in contract development or manufacturing\nProven leadership and management skills\nWorking knowledge of: Biologics fermentation, Cell culture, Purification, Analytics (preferred)\nExperience in biologics (preferred)\nProficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project)\n\nThe anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $118,720 to $163,240 plus annual bonus, when eligible.
