In this role, you will be responsible for learning and training to develop software for Garmin's communication and navigation products in a team-oriented environment under supervision. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects within one of Garmin’s software development teams, including Embedded Software, DevOps, Mobile and Web.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nEssential Functions\n\nLearn to develop software in C, C++, or other selected languages for Garmin communication and navigation products in accordance with Garmin’s software development methodology with guidance\nLearn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers\nLearn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activities\nLearn to perform maintenance activities for products already in production in addition to new product software design\nAssociates are expected to integrate, use, and provide feedback on products in development when possible as part of their normal job responsibilities\nQualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nPursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a field relevant to perform the essential functions of this job description\nExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)\nDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\nMust possess relevant experience and/or training in a high-level language such as C, C++, C# or Java relevant to Garmin’s business needs\nMust possess relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object-oriented design methodology relevant to Garmin’s business needs\n\nDesired Qualifications\n\nOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)\nPrevious experience working in a team environment\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
