The Director of Power Development helps lead the Company's origination and development of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on advancing activities in Montana. This role is responsible for moving projects from initial opportunity identification through early-stage development and toward notice to proceed readiness, while leading development activities in Montana, including utility engagement, permitting, landowner outreach, gas pipeline and transmission development, and expansion of project opportunities across the state.\nThe Director combines expertise in power markets, transmission systems, land development, permitting, and stakeholder engagement with the ability to identify, evaluate, and advance high-value opportunities in competitive markets.\nKey Responsibilities.\nProject Origination & Strategy\nIdentify and evaluate development opportunities using transmission analytics, market data, land constraints, and regulatory considerations\nReview and interpret transmission planning documents (e.g., IRPs, transmission expansion plans, interconnection queues, congestion studies) to validate project viability\nDevelop and execute market entry, siting, and expansion strategies across multiple regions, with a strong emphasis on growing project opportunities and market presence in Montana.
