Our head-office is located in Reston, VA.\n\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nAs technical expert, all things data related to developing innovative technologies and solution roadmaps including maintaining an understanding of the key capabilities, utilize their analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets. They then use this information to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nWork with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.\nMine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.\nAssess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.\nDevelop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.\nUse predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.\nDevelop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.\nCoordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.\nDevelop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.\nMinimum five to seven years of experience in systems architecture, solution design and solution implementation.\nStrong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.\nExperience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.\nExperience working with and creating data architectures.\nKnowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.\nKnowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.\nA drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.\nExcellent planning skills in both tactical and strategic planning.\nThe ability to work on multiple concurrent projects is essential.\nStrong self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.\n\nCOMPENSATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS\n\nCompetitive health and medical benefits package and paid-time off\nOther internal benefits include access to professional development funds and organizational trainings as available\nWorking standard office hours with start and end time flexibility (40 hrs/week).\nPhysical/cognitive demands include use of typical office equipment, prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer/telephone, high degree of concentration and attention to detail;\nPsychological demands include deadline drive requirements, capacity to organize and prioritize own work, adaptable to change and ability to set and work towards performance and development goals.\n\nBasecamp Consulting and Solutions is committed to principles of equity and inclusion.
