This is a high impact role reporting into the head of data engineering and will involve working closely with IT, business stakeholders and external vendors to deliver on data and analytics initiatives.\n\nKey Job Responsibilities\n\nTroubleshoot and support implemented applications\nWork in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support\nParticipate in daily scrums, work with Scrum Master and QA Team on projects, and support delivery timelines and priorities\nSolves problems independently with limited supervision and assists other developers with technical questions\nConsistently delivers high quality software and provides coaching to peers and junior team members. Can help drive the team's activities in the absence of leadership / scrum masters for short periods while delivering upon objectives\nIdentify opportunities for technical improvements in specific processes or functional areas, recommend solutions & advocate for implementation\nInfluence technical design decisions & make recommendations on high level architecture\n\nMinimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job\n\nBachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field\nAt least 3-5 years of related experience.\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities\n\nDevelops data pipelines, data integration programs using Python or Talend suite of products in accordance with the business requirements and technical specifications\nExpert at data warehousing, data lakes, business intelligence and data security concepts\nExpert at relational database concepts, SQL,logical modeling, best practices, and physical design\nExpert at data and analytics services in at least one cloud platform\nExpert at developing stored procedures, functions, views\nProficient with automation and orchestration of workloads and associated technologies\nProficient with data catalog, data quality, master data management (MDM) and data governance best practices.\nProficient with atleast one cloud DevOps framework and associated technologies\nStrong analytical, written and verbal communication skills\nExperience working with AWS platform and solutioning on AWS infrastructure using services like AWS IAM, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Glue, Lake formation, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS\nExperience working with Apache Airflow for orchestrating analytics workload\nExperience with IaC solutions like terraform, cloud formation\nExperience with traditional ETL tools like Talend Open Studio, Informatica or similar tools\n\nPreferred Education and/or Experience\n\nMultiple data engineering, cloud or talend related certifications\nExperience with AWS EKS service, setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters\n\nOther Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.\n\n10% of domestic travel may be required\n\nPlease note, this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
