Credit Risk Specialist (Contract)
About the Role
Under the guidance of the Accounts Receivable Team, the Credit Risk Specialist manages a high volume of customer receivable deductions through resolution and collections. This identifying receivable deductions, research, and resolution of same and includes ensuring contract compliance. According to guidelines either direct claims to the appropriate personnel/department for handling or personally resolve in a timely manner. The person in this role will be responsible for reporting, tracking and analysis of chargebacks and collection. It is essential to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.

Owning a customer deduction portfolio.
Obtaining support documentation for customer deductions and updating all relevant fields on the dispute case in SAP.
Researching and following up in a timely manner on claims through resolution, either personally or by coordinating with the responsible party.
Identifying root causes of deduction issues and resolving them.
Managing deductions within personal, team, and department objectives.
Partnering with the Collection Team responsible for collections to co-manage the overall account efficiently.
Preparing reports and analyses to determine compliance trends, root causes, and trade spend efficiency.
Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and functional groups essential to accomplishing objectives.
Focusing on ongoing process improvements by making recommendations and participating in implementations to improve efficiency.
Keeping management apprised of unusual or non-standard issues and escalating when appropriate.
Performing other tasks or projects as assigned.
About You
Degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting required.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles preferred.
Experience working with customer contracts and transportation/logistic requirements highly desired.
Proven successful experience with high-volume deduction management.
Strong aptitude in information systems; SAP experience highly desired; proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel (V-lookups & Pivot Tables).
Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills required.
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and execute all assignments to closure; includes determining and addressing root causes.
Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work extra hours as needed.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.00 - $33.00 per hour.
The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This contract position may be eligible for select benefits through the payrolling agency. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance options and 401k.
