What You'll Do:Processes discipline packetsTypes, copies, logs and serves employee Pre-Disciplinary Conference NoticesManages hearing scheduleDistributes Pre-disciplinary packetsCompletes confidential documents/materialsMaintains database for grievances filed by unions and exempt employeesResponsible for preparing correspondence and reports from rough draft /dictationComposes and types correspondenceScreens incoming calls and responds to inquiriesAssigns grievance numbersMaintains grievance filesHandles grievance communication between management and unions and employeesTracks union leaveCompiles data related to collective bargaining and negotiationsAssists employee equal opportunity (EEO) staff with hearings and reportsCompiles information for position statements for EEO complaintsAssist Correctional Warden Assistant 2 and acts as back-up to Wardens Administrative Professional 4Opens, logs and distributes mail, answers phones, greets visitors, files, and maintains inventory of supplies/orders as neededPrepares records retention and disposal schedules and monitors record transfersCollects, correlates/mails monthly reportsSubstitutes as Warden's secretaryAssist committees (e.g., local control, publication screening, etc.)Coordinates daily workflow of assigned area(s)Revises content of manuals and notebooks, maintains security and confidentiality of assigned work area(s) including safe and sanitary conditionsPerforms other duties as required1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in secretarial science or business office applications.
