We’re seeking a Lead Technician with expert-level AV integration experience to join our Orlando team. This role focuses on installing and integrating audio, video, LED, and control systems into commercial environments—bringing projects to life with technical precision and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
System Installation – Install audio, video, LED, and control equipment in new and existing facilities, following approved company and client standards under the direction of a project foreman.
Connections & Rigging – Perform high-level connections and terminations, rig projection systems, and install flat panels, monitors, speakers, LED screens, and other AV devices.
Technical Interpretation – Read and interpret manuals, schematics, prints, layouts, renderings, and other documentation to guide installations.
Rack Wiring – Wire racks meticulously and terminate a wide variety of cabling (balanced/unbalanced audio, analog/digital video, category cabling, serial cabling, speaker cabling, etc.).
Testing & Debugging – Assist in system testing and debugging to confirm full functionality.
Worksite Standards – Maintain cleanliness of tools, company vehicles, and jobsite work areas.
Documentation – Complete job-related documentation including material sheets, expense reports, timesheets, and training records.
Additional Duties – Perform other related duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
Skills and Knowledge
Expert-level experience with AV and control system integration in commercial environments
Proficiency in connections, terminations, and AV system rigging
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and power requirements
Skilled in wiring and terminating multiple types of signal cabling
Knowledge of testing/debugging procedures for AV systems
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
This role requires working across a variety of environments and conditions:
Office, warehouse, construction sites, event venues
Use of heavy equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, forklift, etc.) and commercial vehicles
Exposure to high voltage, overhead safety, and moving machinery
Frequent lifting ( Use of hand tools and tools requiring high dexterity
Alternative work schedules with travel up to 70%
