The ideal candidate will embody our core values: Deploy Faster, Operate with Confidence, and Design with Purpose, ensuring that solutions are rapidly delivered, reliable in execution, and intentionally designed to meet mission objectives.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead systems engineering activities across the full system lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture definition, trade studies, integration, verification, and validation.\nDevelop, manage, and maintain system requirements, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), and technical baselines.\nArchitect and integrate multi-domain defense systems, including:\nAircraft-installed systems (ISR, communications, power distribution, and networking)\nTransportable and modular expeditionary shelter systems\nSCIF and secure communications environments\nCoordinate integration efforts across mechanical, electrical, power, thermal, EMI/EMC, network, and software domains.\nSupport aircraft modification efforts, including non-permanent (e.g., T-2/T-3) installations, while minimizing airworthiness and certification risk.\nPerform technical trade studies to balance performance, cost, schedule, and program risk.\nDevelop and support system verification and validation plans, test procedures, and acceptance activities (ground and flight test, as applicable).\nCollaborate with program management, manufacturing, test, and customers to ensure technical alignment and successful execution.\nIdentify, track, and mitigate technical risks throughout design and integration activities.\nContribute to proposal development efforts, including ROMs, schedules, system architectures, and technical volumes, as required.\nApply our core values in daily work: Deploy Faster by streamlining integration and delivery processes, Operate with Confidence by ensuring systems are reliable and certifiable, and Design with Purpose by making intentional, mission-focused design decisions.\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.\n5+ years of experience in systems engineering or integrated product development within defense or aerospace environments.\nExperience supporting military platforms, aircraft systems, or deployable/expeditionary defense infrastructure.\nStrong understanding of:\nRequirements development, management, and traceability\nSystem architecture definition and subsystem integration\nVerification and validation planning and execution\nFamiliarity with DoD acquisition environments and technical documentation standards.\nAbility to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExperience with military aircraft modification programs (e.g., C-130, C-17, ISR or special mission platforms).\nExperience with expeditionary, transportable, or modular shelter systems.\nExperience with SCIF design, secure networking, or TEMPEST considerations.\nFamiliarity with applicable MIL-STD requirements (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704).\nExperience using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as SysML, Cameo, DOORS, or similar.\nBackground in communications, SATCOM, ISR, or mission systems integration.\nMust be able to qualify for and maintain at least a Secret Security Clearance.\nRelocation Assistance Available\nCandidates residing outside of Ohio who are interested in relocating for this opportunity may be eligible for relocation assistance.
