We proudly manufacture in Europe, North America, and China to provide strong regional and global supply chain options for our customers.\n\nSummary\nThe ProcessEngineer I plays a key role in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and product process development activities at the Fairfield facility. In this role, you will apply your process engineering expertise to enhance manufacturing performance, support production operations, and develop innovative process solutions that drive efficiency, reduce costs, improve product margins, and strengthen business competitiveness. You will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and safety teams to deliver world-class process improvements and support operational excellence.\nResponsibilities\nSupport Production Operations\nProvide technical support for daily manufacturing operations and live production activities.\nPartner with supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure equipment and production processes operate efficiently and reliably.\nSupport tooling selection and validation activities.\nApply effective troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to resolve production challenges and improve operational performance.\nDrive Process Improvement\nDevelop, document, and execute process improvement and process development projects.\nIdentify opportunities to increase production efficiency, reduce cost variances, improve product margins, and enhance quote competitiveness.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.\nProvide Process Engineering Expertise\nSupport product engineering, product development, product management, and quality control teams in the development and launch of new products.\nMaintain alignment with company quality standards while supporting customer requirements.\nUtilize data-driven problem-solving methodologies and CAD tools to analyze processes and implement improvements.\nSupport Technical Knowledge Development\nAssist with peer training and mentorship activities to build and maintain embedded technical knowledge within the organization.\nContribute to the development of team capabilities and operational expertise.\nSupport Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives.\nContribute to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment while supporting continuous improvement efforts.\nQualifications:\nRequired Education\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university.\nRequired Experience\n1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience coordinating and managing projects.\nProficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools.\nExperience with manufacturing systems and process improvement methodologies.\nKnowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, including process mapping, root cause analysis, 8D, A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, Design of Experiments (DOE), and capability studies.\nExperienceworking with quality management systems such as ISO and IATF, including control plans and PFMEAs.\nManufacturing experience in a production environment.\nWhy Join Mattr?\nMedical, dental & vision coverage with HSA contributions\n401(k) with company match, vested immediately\nEmployer-paid Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability insurance\nWellness incentives\nFree Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nDiscounts on fitness, shopping & travel (Blue365,LifeMart& more)\n#IND1\nWe welcome applications from internal candidates for this opportunity.
