This position will be responsible for participating in many facets of the construction process, such as general construction management, punch lists and executing self‑perform work, in order to understand the building process and how JE Dunn executes projects. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.\nKey Role Responsibilities – Core Learn and actively participate in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury‑free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.\nParticipate with project QA/QC planning to ensure quality for assigned tasks.\nLearn and participate in the estimating and change management process and tools, including quantity take‑off and review of subcontractor proposals.\nWork on site with the project team to support a variety of tasks such as monitoring crew size, self‑perform hours, materials, quantity and equipment.\nParticipate in activities such as punch lists, city inspections, safety reviews, quality reviews and preparation of the necessary documentation.\nPost drawings and specifications with the most recent information.\nOrganize and participate in various project meetings. Prepare and disseminate required documentation as appropriate.\nParticipate and prepare a variety of reports including project daily reports, weekly progress reports, unit reporting, percentage complete, daily manpower, production schedules, equipment tracking, etc., to support the project.\nPerform periodic site observations with project leadership.\nCreate procurement logs based on the project schedule and specification requirements. Track shop drawings and follow up with deliveries as directed by the project team.\nProvide progress updates and report back to the project team to support the scheduling process.\nSupport the close‑out of projects, including but not limited to the punch list, operations and maintenance manuals, as‑built drawings, etc.\nUtilize company best practice standards and fundamentals for building and construction techniques.\nBuild relationships and develop communication and interpersonal skills with tradespeople and project team members such as foreman, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors.\nDevelop an understanding of the various functions and support roles across the company and how each contributes to the success of a project.\nCollaborate and demonstrate teamwork in the project setting.\nLearn and incorporate Lean practices into regular activities.\nLearn about best practices for identifying, developing and integrating self‑perform opportunities into the project.\nKey Role Responsibilities – Additional Core Participate in implementing project safety plans and ensure a culture of compliance through training, toolbox talks and communication with Safety Representatives.\nSupport the preparation of estimates, schedules, work plans, daily logs, etc.\nPre‑plan crew activities, fulfill the requirements of the daily task plan, complete look‑ahead schedule and provide updates to the project superintendent.\nSupport and/or complete job setup and project administration in CMiC and other company technologies.\nParticipate with project team in managing subcontractor(s) scope of work.\nCoordinate with internal project support functions as directed by the project team.\nControl costs by evaluating and improving processes of assigned tasks.\nAssist with the development and maintenance of project crew schedule.\nProvide analysis for MOC materials and other costs and equipment on project site.\nSupport and participate in training and mentoring less experienced project team members.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency in MS Office.\nKnowledge of organizational structure and available resources.\nKnowledge of Lean process and philosophy.\nKnowledge of required construction technology.\nApply fundamentals of means and methods of construction management.\nKnowledge of self‑perform and labor productivity.\nAssess and optimize project productivity.\nKnowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.\nBuild relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.\nEducation Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field.\nIn lieu of the above requirement, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.\nExperience 2+ years construction experience.\nWorking Environment Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.\nMay require periods of travel and/or relocation.\nMust be willing to work non‑traditional hours to meet project needs.\nMay be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).\nFrequent activity: standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.\nOccasional activity: sitting, viewing computer screen.\nBenefits Information The benefits package aligned to this position is Professional Non‑Union.
