This is a full-time and hybrid position.\r\nRoles & Responsibilities:\r\n\r\nCollaborate with internal business resources and technical teams/SMEs to understand data sources\r\nDesign, build, maintain, and optimize databases\r\nDevelop database objects including stored procedures, tables, views and table-valued functions.\r\nWrite complex queries involving common table expressions, window functions and subqueries for reporting.\r\nDevelop, test and execute the migration of data from an IBM DB2 to database to an Oracle database.\r\nTranslating business functions into conceptual, logical and physical data models.\r\nOptimize database tables including the application of triggers, indices and constraints.\r\nEnforce the successful application of any security standards necessary for the database, potentially including encryption at rest.\r\nPerformance tuning and query optimization\r\nData migration from legacy data base and perform transformations to the data to fit in the new data base\r\nConduct Design reviews with the business analysts and content developers to create a proof of concept for the reports\r\nSupport development teams in developing SQL queries\r\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline\r\n5+ years' experience as Database Developer/Programmer.\r\n5+ years' experience integrating data from disparate sources\r\n5+ years' experience in Agile development methodologies\r\nStrong understanding of MDM policies including cleansing, normalization and standardization.\r\nDemonstrated experience with Configuration Management tools\r\nAbility to design and create effective data models\r\nProficient in developing stored procedures using PL/SQL and developing efficient views\r\nExperience with performance tuning\r\nExperience in Data Mapping and Data Migration\r\nExperience with databases such as Oracle and AWS RDS\r\nUnderstanding of data security and data access controls and design aspects\r\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\r\nMust demonstrate ability to work under high pressure in a complex multi-threaded environment\r\nDemonstrated capability to learn, rapidly utilizing good problem solving skills\r\nDesire to learn and document new tools\r\nPrior experience architecting databases and warehouses for Appian BPMS solutions a plus\r\n\r\nAstor & Sanders Corporation (www.astor-sanders.com) offers a unique, stimulating and challenging environment that fosters individual growth and rewards performance.
