The national certification i s preferred but i s not required. The state of Colorado will i ssue a provisional tech nician license for 18 months to allow time for national certification. This position takes i n-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers. Transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist. Also assist with the prior authorization process, data entry, filling of prescriptions, shipping medications, and helping walk- i n patients. Help with other functions as directed by the site leader. * At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy tech nician coordinating activities i n an administrative support function. * National pharmacy tech nician certification preferred. Eligible for state registration, certification or licensure per state regulations. * Advanced computer skills i ncluding word processing and spreadsheet utilization. * Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must. Education - Verifiable High School diploma or GED required
