Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Development Engineer/ Mechanical EngineerJob Location: Irvine, CA/ San Jose, CAJob Description:Assist in the design and development of high-power connectors and cable assembliesCreate and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorksSupport CAE/FEA analysis including thermal, mechanical, and electrical evaluationsApply GD&T principles and participate in tolerance analysis activitiesWork closely with senior engineers, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teamsSupport customer technical activities as FAE/SE, including understanding customer requirement, technical communication, and testing supportParticipate in prototype builds, validation testing, and engineering documentationLearn and grow technical capability through active participation in project developmentSupport project execution through collaboration with global teams and customersDomestic and international travel may be required for customer support, project reviews, and manufacturing coordinationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fieldEntry-level candidates or early career engineers are encouraged to applyBasic knowledge of heat transfer and electrical fundamentals preferredExposure to connector design, EV, or data center applications is a plusExperience or academic background in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)Familiarity with CAE/FEA tools is desirableUnderstanding of GD&T concepts and tolerance analysis fundamentalsStrong teamwork mindset, positive learning attitude, and willingness to grow with projectsGood communication and collaboration skillsLanguage: English required; Chinese is a plusFoxconn Interconnect Technology, Inc.
