In this role, you will work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with team members and end users to modernize and upgrade the current system. The position requires handson experience with Angular, Java, and Accumulo. Responsibilities include developing new code, migrating Angular and Accumulo to their latest versions, and supporting requirements development as well as other lifecycle documentation and processes. This is a Part-Time 1099/consultant position.\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\n\nMeet with development team and program manager to discuss requirements and project schedules\nSupport development of requirements\nWrite new code\nIntegrate various applications or other systems\nInvestigate and analyze root cause issues; propose solutions, and verify and validate final solutions\nParticipate during initial plan design and existing plan enhancements\nAssist with documenting requirements\nParticipate in client meetings\nHelp to evolve the application by developing testing procedures and quality assurance\n\nPosition Requirements:\n\nRequires at least 3 years of experience in front-end or back-end development\nExperience with Java\nExperience with Angular\nWork with IT team to coordinate efforts and communicate changes\nExcellent business communication and interpersonal skills\nProactive approach to problem solving\nDiscipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommuting\nDoD background (desired)\nQualifying DoD 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II) (e.g., Security +)\nMust have, or be able to obtain, an Army-issued email and Army CAC. (Note: CACs issued by other military branches cannot be accepted.)\nNote: this is a 1099/consultant position\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\nExperience with AWS systems\nPreferred experience with no-SQL databases.\nPreferred candidates will have Angular experience, but strong frontend developers from other backgrounds (e.g., Python) may also be a fit. Cloud development is advantageous, especially in AWS environments.\n\nRequired Security Clearance:\n\nTop Secret/SCI\n\nRequired Certification(s):\n\nQualifying DoD 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II) (e.g., Security +)\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor degree is preferred\n\nWork Hours:\n\nRemote\n\nLocation:\n\nD.C.
