For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.comPOSITION SUMMARYThe Fabrication Welder - Stainless Steel will be responsible for joining metal using a variety of techniques, often to form new structures. Duties may include cutting and welding materials according to technical plans created by other construction professionals. The Fabrication Welder is a safety sensitive position that works primarily on new equipment assembly.This is an hourly position that reports directly to the Area Shop Foreman.PRIMARY DUTIESPerform stainless steel welding using GMAW and GTAW processesInterpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols to fabricate components accuratelyMeasure, cut and prepare materials (bend, cut, drill, tap, etc)Assemble mechanical components and fabricated parts to meet design specificationsPerform proper fit-up alignment, and tacking prior to final weldingConduct leak test on pressure equipment, tanks or vesselsOperate equipment safely and efficiently including overhead cranes and forkliftsFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environmentWork independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlinesWearing safety clothing and using protective equipmentREQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to read and understand blueprints1+ years of welding/shop experienceAttention to detailAbility to work with your handsBasic math and design skills.Technical CapacityThoroughnessTeamwork OrientationTime ManagementProblem solving/analysisFisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
