This is a hands-on, mission-critical role where the most essential competency is advanced project scheduling and estimating.\nThe ideal candidate proactively engages functional areas to collect information and build realistic schedules, understands the use of float and rolling wave planning, and is comfortable working in an environment where the team itself frequently generates requirements — without reliance on external guidance. Planning for extensive external dependencies is a daily requirement.\nROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nCreate, manage, and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or Microsoft 365 tools\nCoordinate with team leads to track progress, allocate resources, and identify potential delays or risks\nCommunicate milestones, critical path, and deadlines appropriately as directed by team leadership\nDevelop cost estimates derived directly from project schedules; present findings to company leadership as required\nPrepare written reports and briefings; attend meetings and provide actionable information to the team before actions are required\nBuild and operate a risk management board — collect risks and mitigation plans from the team\nBuild and operate a requirements board — collect, prioritize, and communicate requirements internally\nEnsure all contract deliverables are compliant and delivered on time following internal review\nTrack CLIN budget burn rates and communicate percent-complete status (EVM not required)\nCollect and report contract metrics monthly; present program activities to company leadership as requested\nManage organizational compliance with company and customer policies and procedures\nCoordinate with team leads on staffing requirements; develop qualification documents and partner with recruiting to source skilled resources\nProvide administrative support as needed: visitor requests, seating assignments, hot-desk schedules, and similar tasks\nTECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT\nFamiliarity or experience with the following technologies is expected:\nMicrosoft 365 (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)\nLinux\nSplunk\nAnsible\nTenable\nGEMS\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nActive Top Secret clearance with investigation dated within the last 5 years\nDemonstrated history of collecting scheduling data from functional areas and producing realistic, actionable project schedules\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Project or an equivalent enterprise scheduling tool\nSolid understanding of float management, rolling wave planning, and managing extensive external dependencies\nExperience building cost estimates from project schedule activity data\nEffective collaborator; thrives in a team-first, results-driven environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills — ability to produce reports, briefings, and executive-ready presentations\nAbility to report on-site, Monday through Friday in Washington, DC — no remote work option\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent professional experience\nPMP certification or formal project management training through the Project Management Institute (PMI)\nPrior experience supporting DOE, DoD, or other federal agency programs\nSUCCESS METRICS\nActivity lists created for all sites, including communication requirements and functional resource assignments, reusable for recurring planning cycles\nActivity lists for all emerging projects completed with 75% or greater accuracy, as validated by the technical lead\nStatus reports on all O&M and new project activities delivered on the first Monday of the last week of every month in support of CDRL reporting\nREGULATORY NOTICES — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY\nDrug Testing (10 CFR 707.4): Prospective applicants are notified that reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 will be conducted by the employer.
