Find your future with us.\nBoeing STL is looking for a Mid-level BDE Electrical M&PT Process and Standards Component Engineer to join the team in Berkeley, MO.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nApplies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluation of components for assembly and subassembly repair/design.\nDirectly supports Sub-contractors and Suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for Boeing usage per the contract and the Parts Management Plan.\nWork regularly with a harsh environment/high reliability design environment, supporting aerospace industrial design/application definition and test.\nRegularly support tasking involving complex connectors, wires, and cables, including the fabrication of cables/bundles, installation of cables/harnesses, etc.\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\nSignificant experience with a harsh environment/high reliability design environment, including previous aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial design/application experience.\nElectrical design and/or Test experience with electrical components, wiring harnesses, connectors and cables.\nSpecific experience in any military aerospace discipline, either as a defense contractor or as former military, especially in Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).\nSpecific experience with military electronics, directly related to one of our electrical disciplines (i.e. components, wire/cables, installation processes, etc.).\nSpecific and extensive experience with the electrical mil specs and aerospace industry specs that are relevant to our day to day.\nDeep experience/insight with wiring design, cables, connectors, etc. (Someone who worked in a position where this was a key element of their primary responsibilities for 5+ years.)\nUnderstanding of Aircraft and Weapons design/requirements to recommend the correct Alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUses Project Management tools to meet project/program cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements.\nIncorporates Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) lab testing and qualification.\nSupports, establishes work statements, defines strategies, and/or provides consultation with peers while keeping management informed.\nSignificant experience with military and/or industry specifications.\nTypical Education:\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
