The Aquatic Center includes a community pool, an Olympic-sized competition pool, outdoor splash pad, dynamic fitness room, outdoor track and so much more. It has become a local hub of sports tourism by hosting elite-level regional and national Aquatics and Track events.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nRespond to all medical and non-medical emergencies\n\nOversee and delegate responsibilities to six person staff\n\nResponsible for offering outstanding customer service\n\nEnsure that all risk management measures have been taken\n\nAssist in the evaluation and promotion of student staff\n\nTroubleshoot POS, timekeeping & payroll system issues/questions for student staff\n\nAssist in the interviewing and training of new student staff\n\nContinually monitor all facility activity and program areas\n\nDocument participation count for each activity area\n\nCompleting reports in staff, incidences, maintenance, and accidents\n\nSet up for rentals and special events as needed\n\nEnsure the cash handling practices are accurate\n\nCompletion of all Incident and Accident reports as necessary\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nRequirements\n\nHas a thorough knowledge of Recreation Services' practices and policies preferred\n\nSuccessfully demonstrated expert knowledge of Club Automation (Rec Auto)\n\nMust be certified as a CPR/ First Aid/AED Professional Rescuer\n\nShifts available are 4:45am to 1:00pm or 3:45pm to 9:00pm (times are subject to change during times of events and/or planned closures.)\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nAssisting in event setups requiring lifting exceeding 30lbs\n\nBending, stooping, lifting\n\nEye-hand coordination (officiating mechanics)\n\nHearing and talking\n\nStanding, walking or running for at least 90% of the shift\n\nWork Environment\n\nSeveral hours on feet/walking around\n\nModerate to loud noise\n\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
