Also, this position could oversee a team of up to 10 field logistics professionals and managing site logistics operations. This is a safety sensitive position.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nCommunicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective operations and customer service.\nCoaches and trains onsite logistics teams and instills best practices regarding onsite logistics and productivity.\nDevelops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers.\nAble to establish priorities for a small crew across multiple areas of operations.\nWorks as a leader within the company’s supply chain to ensure all established practices are followed.\nProvide material handling support to assigned areas of the assigned job site.\nAssists projects with the execution of a project specific site logistics plan.\nAble to coordinate with off-site construction, warehousing, and outside suppliers to ensure that all material and tooling requirements for a given project are met.\nSupports remobilization of crews, allowing construction operation crews to continue providing value-added install.\nDevelops systems and procedures to allow for the highest level of productivity and safest execution of tasks.\nAble to understand, plan and execute on-site requirements through meeting attendance, available drawings and collaboration with other trades and onsite leadership.\nCoordinates with project leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement through various means to include off-site construction usage, value added services and onsite logistics.\nManages logistics key performance indicators and reports these to appropriate leaders.\nDemonstrates a working knowledge of logistics processes and Lean techniques.\nPerform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.\nEducation and Experience\nMust have a high school diploma or equivalent.\n8+ years of Warehouse, Supply Chain, or Logistics experience\nExperience in construction or a related field.\nTravel Requirements\nDemonstrate a willingness to travel from 0% - 100% of the time to various locations across the U.S. in support of jobsite logistic operations.\nRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities\nKnowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing tools and general construction materials.\nMust have a valid driver’s license.\nMust have reliable transportation.\nMust be able to pass a drug and background check.\nExcellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate employees, with strong decision-making, problem solving and strategic planning abilities.\nEffective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.\nGreat interpersonal skills – build trust with others and implement process improvement initiatives.\nRead and interpret instructional manuals, worksite directions, and written instructions.\nAnalyze tool and material requests for preparation of delivery schedule.\nUnderstanding of warehouse software and technology\nExcellent customer service\nExceptional time management and organizational skills\nFamiliarity with inventory control practices and logistics\nBe an excellent judge of character and skills, in order to delegate tasks as efficiently and effectively as possible based on the strengths and weaknesses of your team.\nAble to work in different weather conditions.\nDevelops relationships with leaders, direct reports, and/or others that facilitate open dialogue and trust.\nWork Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision to discern color coded wires, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\nPossess good hearing, normal or corrected.\nMust be able to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest) at all times.\nMust be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. This position requires flexible work hours.
