Information Technology Product Manager

Our client, a Boston-based Investment Manager with more than 80bb in aum, is seeking a Client Systems Manager. In this role you will lead a software engineering team responsible for the platforms that power Global Client Relations, Digital Marketing, Investment Analysis and Shareholder Services functions. Success in this role would be defined by partnering with Marketing, Product Distribution, Performance Analytics and other key stakeholders, to deliver and evolve client-facing systems-including CRM, client engagement tools, sales enablement platforms, and client/fund performance systems-to drive increased distribution reach and sales team productivity. Stakeholder EngagementServe as the primary technology liaison for sales, marketing, client relations, and performance analytics teams, managing expectations and aligning delivery prioritiesRepresent Client Systems in cross-functional working groups and technology leadership forumsProvide regular project status and roadmap updates to senior leadershipTeam LeadershipManage and develop a team of software engineers and technical staff implementing and supporting client and distribution focused and fund/client performance focused technology systemsBuild collaborative partnerships with peer engineering managers across the Software Engineering & Platform Architecture groupWork closely with the Technology Transformation team to generate meaningful technology innovations and upgrades in support of the product distribution and marketing effortConduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide ongoing coaching and career developmentApplication Ownership & DeliveryOwn the strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day delivery for client technology systems, including Salesforce CRM, Seismic, and other internally developed applicationsLead initiatives to enhance CRM capabilities, including integration of generative AI featuresManage the .com platform and client portal in partnership with Marketing and Distribution teamsUsing generative AI tools and techniques oversee lead generation technology and workflowsManage the day-to-day delivery for Performance Analytics and Shareholder Services platformsProvide technical guidance to the team on design, architecture, and implementation decisionsLead response to critical production issues, coordinating triage, resolution, and post-incident follow-up across stakeholdersVendor & Risk ManagementManage vendor relationships, including contract oversight, due diligence and security questionnairesEnsure systems meet regulatory and compliance requirements, partnering with Security and Risk teams as neededPlatform ModernizationDrive adoption of evolving software engineering practices within the Client Systems teamCollaborate with Platform, Architecture, and Trading/Operations teams to align shared infrastructure and standardsQualifications10+ years of experience in technology, with at least 3 years managing engineering or IT teamsExperience developing/managing large scale applications and platforms.Financial services, investment management industry, and wealth management/intermediary background strongly preferredExperience managing enterprise CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), client-facing SaaS ecosystems, CMS platforms, and Marketing Automation toolsActively engaged with market-leaders in the investment management industry to understand best-in-class client data-infrastructure and distribution and marketing platformsExperience with, or exposure to, Performance Measurement and Investment Analysis concepts and systemsStrong stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging with senior business and technology leaders, able to translate business requirements into technical specificationsFamiliarity with software delivery practices, vendor risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements
