The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and supporting Java-based applications, working with modern Java frameworks, relational databases, and automated testing tools within an Agile development environment.\n\nThe Java Developer will collaborate with developers, technical leads, business analysts, and other team members to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain reliable software solutions.\n\nDevelop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot Java-based applications.\nSupport applications utilizing Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.\nDevelop and maintain application components that interact with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with established development standards.\nDevelop and execute automated unit tests using JUnit or similar testing frameworks.\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and technical issues.\nParticipate in code reviews and support continuous improvement of application quality and development practices.\nWork collaboratively within an Agile development team, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.\nTrack development activities, defects, and user stories using Jira or similar Agile project management tools.\nCollaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate development status and technical issues.\nSupport application releases, enhancements, and ongoing production maintenance as needed.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nEducation and Work Experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAt least 3 years of experience developing and/or supporting Java applications.\nExperience with Java frameworks, including Spring and Spring Boot.\nExperience working in an Agile software development environment.\nExperience using Jira or a similar issue tracking and Agile development tool.\nExperience developing applications that integrate with relational databases, such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.\nExperience writing and maintaining automated unit tests using JUnit or a comparable testing framework.\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and modern software development practices.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative development team.\n\nPreferred Skills/Experience:\n\nExperience with Angular or another modern front-end framework.\nExperience developing or consuming RESTful APIs.\nFamiliarity with source control and collaborative development tools such as Git.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and automated build/deployment pipelines.\nExperience supporting enterprise or government applications.\n\nCorporate Values Alignment:\n\nPassionate - Demonstrates a strong enthusiasm for the work, the company and client's mission, and the impact it has on others.
