The chosen candidate will be responsible for the production and support of the urethane process.\nThe hours will be: Mon-Thurs 5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Friday 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.\nUrethane Machine Operator – 2nd Shift\nGrand Rapids\n\nWhat you will need:\n\nA high school diploma\n2+ year technical degree is a plus\nMust be able to set up tooling and fixtures for all repeat machining and molding operations, saws, shapers and urethane metering equipment.\nMust be able to read and work from blueprints and use all types of measuring equipment, including precision scales for measuring calibration shots and speed-mixer formulations.\nExperience setting up cut off saws and drill presses, and/ or de-molding – Preferred\nExperience in machine shop or foundry environment.\nBasic Computer Skills. Basic competency of MS Office or related products.\nThe ability to:\nObtain a forklift license\nLift 45 lbs. floor to waist\nStand all day\nPush/ Pull maximum of 200 lbs. 10 ft.\nReach less than 18 inches from midline both directions\nWhat you will be doing:\n\nSetting up/running all existing operations, but not limited to, Urethane Metering Machine, Saws, Shapers, and Oven while meeting quality and time requirements.\nMaintaining calibration on urethane metering equipment.\nMaintaining up to date work instructions for all operations.\nPerforming all Urethane secondary and conventional jobs to quality and time standards.\nMaking all required changes and adjustments required in both tooling and programs to assure finished part quality.\nParticipating in Continuous Improvement and Suggestion System as required.\nThis is your opportunity to work in an environment where the culture is focused on putting People First, being Better Together, Customer Centered, Forward Thinking and Committed to Excellence.
