They perform necessary calculations and ensure that the structural scope of our design packages follows client and industry standards. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, has experience working with multi-discipline teams, and strives to provide quality designs to our clients.\n\nTo support collaboration, mentorship opportunities, and effective project execution, BSI Engineering has adopted a hybrid work schedule in which employees are in the office a minimum of three days per week.\n\nResponsibilities and Scope\n\nGathers field data and inspects sites and structures to evaluate existing conditions when necessary\nWith minimal supervision, performs and ensures all calculations and design efforts to prepare deliverables\nEnsures structural design is accurate and coordinated within the model and drawings\nCoordinates and communicates with designers on projects and establishes clear direction\nWrites project-based documents including, but not limited to: studies, project notes, scope, close-out reports\nSelects appropriate construction materials\nObtains plans and building regulation approvals\nCoordinates with outside consultants and contractors when required (geotechnical engineers, construction contractors, etc.)\nParticipates in construction support, startup, and commissioning efforts\nFollows the BSI Standard Operating Procedures and Client Standards, ensuring quality and technical accuracy of project deliverables\nEstablishes and manages their own engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects\nSigns off on drawing packages if PE License is obtained\n\nQualifications\n\n5+ years of experience in a Structural Engineering role designing structures in steel, concrete, masonry, and/or wood\nBachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field\nSkilled with Risa-3D\nFamiliar with necessary codes, including but not limited to: IBC, ASCE, ACI 318, AISC, and NDS\nCompetent in selecting construction materials, construction methods, and industry standards\nStrong structural analysis experience, including 3D and solid finite element modeling\nPE license preferred\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nIndividualized Mentoring and Development program\nTuition Reimbursement and support with continuing education\nFlexible Telecommuting Policy\nPaid Time for Charitable Efforts\nPaid Parental Leave\nCompetitive base salary, paid overtime, generous bonus programs\nPTO and Paid Holidays\nStock and 401(k) with company match\nHealth, Dental, and Vision\n\nOur Values: Be Inspiring Be Invested Be Improving Be Innovative Be Impactful Be Involved Be In Demand\n\nWho We Are\n\nOur Purpose: Creating Solutions, Improving Lives.
