Residential Interior Design Consultant
Bring your design expertise to a builder that refuses to be ordinary. We’re seeking a creative, detail-driven Residential Design Consultant to elevate the homebuying experience and help our clients create homes that feel personal, intentional, and distinctly different. This is a highly visible, client-facing role where your ability to guide, inspire, and execute will directly shape the look and feel of our communities.What You’ll DoLead one-on-one design appointments, helping homebuyers personalize finishes and fixturesDeliver a polished, engaging in-person experience in model homes and design spacesAdvise on trends, materials, color palettes, and cohesive design visionMaintain precise selection documentation and coordinate seamlessly with purchasing and construction teamsEnsure all selections, timelines, and agreements are accurate, approved, and executed on scheduleCollaborate with leadership on design standards, product updates, and overall design directionContribute to ongoing innovation through competitive market research and trend analysisMaintain and evolve a curated design vision (including buyer-facing materials and presentation tools)Participate in spec home selections and community design consistencyConduct bi-annual competitive market research and present insights on trends, pricing, and product innovationEnsure all promotions, selections, and changes align with company standards and approval processesWork Schedule & ExpectationsPrimarily onsite, working from a model home five days per week (10 AM – 5 PM + open/close time)Available to work three weekends per month and support Grand Openings and key eventsDesign appointments are conducted in person to deliver a high-touch experienceLocal travel between communities requiredWhat You Bring3+ years of experience in new home interior design, builder selections, or similarA strong eye for detail and a passion for design that stands out - not blends inExceptional organization, communication, and client-facing skillsAbility to balance creativity with structure, timelines, and operational accuracyExperience with design tools and builder systems is a plusWhy Join Us$65,000 – $80,000 salary + performance bonus3 weeks’ vacation (grows with tenure), paid holidays, and sick leaveMedical, dental, vision and HSA optionsLife and disability insurance (short-term and long-term)401(k) with company matchPaid parental and pregnancy leaveA collaborative, design-forward culture where your ideas and creativity matterIf you’re ready to create spaces that leave a lasting impression and guide buyers through one of the most meaningful decisions of their lives this is your opportunity.
