POSITION TITLE: Quality Engineer – Kidron, OH\nReports To: Director of Quality\nJOB SUMMARY:\nQuality Engineer provides daily quality system support to the facility. The QE understands the principles of product, process and service quality evaluation and control. Duties include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, use of metrology and statistical methods to improve processes, cost analysis of non-conformances, and auditing quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.\n**Please note that this position does not have relocation benefits.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n1. Maintain and support Quality Management System (QMS) processes in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.\n2. Supervise the Ohio Quality team, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.\n3. Develop, control, and maintain QMS documentation as required.\n4. Lead problem‑solving investigations for internal and external quality issues.\n5. Provide leadership and support for Lean and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.\n6. Maintain QMS performance metrics and prepare reports and analyses as needed.\n7. Conduct statistical analysis of product and process quality.\n8. Deliver training and educational sessions as required.\n9. Perform other production‑related duties as assigned.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:\n1. Quality Management Systems: Strong experience in QMS development and assessment using ISO 9001, ISO 9000, or TS16949 requirements.\n2. Problem‑Solving Leadership: Ability to apply a range of problem‑solving tools in a team environment, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.\n3. Lean / Kaizen: Working knowledge of Lean principles with experience leading Kaizen or Six Sigma improvement initiatives.\n4. Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and an understanding of how human factors and motivation influence quality.\n5. Organization: Ability to follow and promote 5S organizational principles.\n6. Quality Control: Competence in basic metrology, statistics, testing, and inspection procedures.\n7. Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\n8. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\n1. Physical fitness to perform all QA functions. Individual will have to visually inspect all aspects of work in process and finished product. This may require some reaching, climbing, kneeling, sitting, standing.\n2. Individual must be able to communicate effectively.\n3. Employee must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 35lbs.\n4.
