We are currently building our pipeline.Seeking a Lab Engineer with strong networking expertise to support testing, evaluation, and development of advanced network solutions within a controlled lab environment. This role involves configuring network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and assisting in validation efforts to ensure high-performance and secure operations.Duties May Include:Plan, coordinate and manage engineering projects.Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance.A senior system engineer could support operations as needed. Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.Mitigate risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated projects.Review and/or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete.Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces.Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository.Establish a process to formally and proactively control and manage changes to requirements, consider impacts prior to commitment to change, gain stakeholder buy-in, eliminate ambiguity, ensure traceability to source requirements, and track and settle open actions.Design, configure, and maintain network lab environments to support testing and development initiatives.Troubleshoot and optimize network configurations across switches, routers, firewalls, and other critical infrastructure.Analyzing customer functional requirements to develop system requirements specifications and implement designed solutions.Assist in developing and executing test plans, simulations, and performance validations.Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and lab procedures for future reference.Support automation efforts using scripting or tools like Ansible, Python, or other network automation frameworks.Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices for lab environments.Interacting with the Government customers regarding Network Engineering and technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.Analyze users requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specificationsAnalyze system requirements and leads design and development activitiesGuide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studiesProvide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technologyIncorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operationsDevelop system architecture and system design documentationGuide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plansInteract with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflictsResponsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibilityCommunicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executivesWorks individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and leads multiple tasks, projects or teams.Oversees and monitors performance, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.Directs multiple teams through to project completion.Provides guidance and direction to lower level technicians, specialists, and managers.Education and ExperienceRequired:High School Diploma + 10 yearsAssociate's Degree + 8 yearsBachelor's Degree + 6 yearsMaster's Degree + 4 yearsPhD + 2 yearsHands-on experience in network engineering, including configuration of Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking technologies.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VXLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues in a lab environment.Experience with cloud networking, SDN (Software-Defined Networking), and virtualization technologies.Knowledge of automation tools for networking (Ansible, Python, etc.).Knowledge of Linux administrationExperience with VMware including NSXTraining:Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order.Security Clearance:Current
