Process Engineer - Automotive Parts Manufacturing (35328)

An automotive parts supplier in the Columbus, IN area is in need of a Process Engineer responsible for the development of engineering processes related to CNC machining operations. This position will be testing equipment, maintaining CNC programs associated with the turning manufacturing processes, planning tooling requirements for production and troubleshooting CNC machining.Process Engineer Responsibilities:Implement engineering processes related to CNC production machining.Maintain and update CNC programsAnalyze workflow, layout of equipmentSpecify tooling requirements for productionTroubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machinesTest and evaluate equipmentAct as Technical Lead to Engineering TechniciansInstall initial start-up of equipmentInteract with vendors to determine appropriate specifications and purchase equipmentOther duties as assigned by managementProcess Engineer Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or an equivalent experience3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience3+ years of CNC equipment experience preferredExperience with CAD software and knowledge of machine G&M codeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAutomotive manufacturing experience idealStrong problem-solving skillsPrevious automotive manufacturing experience a big plusMust be able to perform some physical duties, such as lifting up to 25 pounds, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist etc.Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions / Renaissance Resources Inc. has been a trusted leader in North American recruiting for Japanese businesses for over 25 years.
