URI is just 30 minutes from Providence, RI and within easy reach of Newport, Boston, and New York City._________________________________________________________________________________________________Position SummaryWork with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists on an NIH-funded project using intensive longitudinal data to examine return to substance use following residential substance use treatment. Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, assist in the acquisition and management of participant information for this research project. Administer and adhere to the research protocol, including recruitment of participants from treatment setting, participant interviews, preparing and maintaining study records, and entering study data. Opportunities to participate in manuscripts development and conference presentations will be available.Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey Duties And ResponsibilitiesConduct recruitment of research participants.Screen potential participants for study eligibility.Conduct structured diagnostic interviews.Administer computerized self-report questionnaires.Train participants to complete mobile app surveys.Monitor compliance of mobile app surveys.Utilize tactics to enhance compliance and retention.Administer qualitative interviews to research participants.Enter data and maintain databases.Support day-to-day clerical operations in support of research.Support manuscript preparation.Other Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform additional duties as required.Licenses, Tools, And EquipmentPersonal computers, printers; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); SPSS; Endnote; social media; relevant laboratory equipment. Must have own transportation.RequiredRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field. Minimum one years’ experience working in psychological research. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in written communication skills. Ability to work with diverse groups/populations. Willingness to commute to and from research sites in the state of Rhode Island. Willingness to occasionally conduct interviews early or late in the day as well as on weekends.
