Job Description
Contract Trade Support AnalystMUST be local to New York CityResponsibilities:Provide direct front office technology support to Equities traders, middle office users, and Compliance teams on the trading floorMonitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity to ensure system stability and availabilityDiagnosing and resolve real time trading issues, including detailed investigation of compliance related inquiriesCommunicate major incidents, impacts, and resolution status clearly to key stakeholders and senior managementGather, analyze, and document business requirements from traders, ensuring proper tracking, prioritization, and transparencyTranslate business requirements into clear functional specifications for vendor and internal development teams to deliver enhancementsShare end to end business workflows with Support and QA teams to strengthen regression testing and operational readinessMaintain and continuously improve the knowledge base, support runbooks, scripts, and technical documentationQualifications:Over 5 years of experience supporting mission critical front office trading applications within Equities, including U.S. Market Making, ETFs, Electronic Trading, Global Program Trading, and Convertible BondsStrong understanding of high touch trading workflows, FIX protocol, OMS platforms, IOI processing, market data, and CTM flows, Tidal or other scheduler systemsProven experience handling regulatory and compliance driven requests and inquiries, including Reg NMS, Reg SHO, CAT, ACT, ORF, and TRACEProficient with, SQL querying, JIRA for issue tracking, and Excel for operational analysis and reportingDemonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across front office, middle office, and control functionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detailSelf-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast paced, high pressure trading environmentExperience with scripting and automation tools is a plusSoft Skills:Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of drive and accountabilityConfident, dependable, and consistently reliableProven ability to work independently on complex issues and projectsEffective collaborator with strong teamwork skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with solid documentation and reporting capabilitiesEducation:Computer Science degree
