HVAC 1st Period Apprentice

Come be part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive everything we do!Location: Manchester, NHYour ResponsibilitiesPerform and assist in service of equipment including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality including but not limited to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubesPerform and assist in the rebuilding of an HVAC unit. Receive detailed direction while sharing the hands-on task responsibilities with Journeyman and ForemanDrive a company vehicle to and from jobsite. Transport and maintain inventory of hand tools and necessary materials for job completionRecord and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely mannerBasic data entry and ability to navigate the use of email, internet, and word processing programsDemonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communicationInteract with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each callExplain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesParticipate in available training through regional technician trainers, and off-site learning modulesMaintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill setsComplete jobsite hazard assessment prior to initiating service and adhere to Daikin Applied and customer safety policies and OSHA guidelinesYour QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDAssociate’s Degree or technical school HVAC certificate (preferred)0-2+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experienceAccepted an Apprentice by the unionValid Driver’s License and acceptable driving recordRequired license(s) and/or training card as required by local law districtRotational Emergency Call Support availability as requiredPrevious experience in mentoring less experienced techniciansEPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)OSHA 10 certification (preferred)Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)Work visa sponsorship is not available for this positionThe minimum expected hourly rate for this position is $28.23 in NH. The rate is subject to the amount outlined in the CBA and could change based on the level offered.
