To apply email PDF versions of your cover letter and resume with the following format for filenames: 'Last Name, First Name, Job Title you are seeking' Please also include your name and the job title you are seeking in the subject line to: employment@econsultsolutions.com Director Job Description Our firm is seeking a Director who will support the efforts of the firm in the following ways: Serve as Lead Director for one or more assigned Practice Areas (but be available to assist in or do project management for all Practice Areas), which entails: Help track project opportunities, revenue levels, and staff allocation Develop subject matter expertise Cultivate relevant industry networks and convert relationships into business opportunities Participate in business development and proposal writing Participate in relevant efforts around knowledge management, research methodologies, data, and IT tools Manage a portfolio of projects, responsibilities for each including: Serve as primary point of contact for clients Help set the intellectual direction of the engagement Direct team to complete tasks and fulfill client needs Manage budget and timeline Collectively manage (with other Directors and Associate Directors) all Senior Analysts, Analysts, and Research Assistants, including: Directly supervise one or more staff members, meeting with them regularly to provide support and guidance Track and align staff allocations across projects Participate in staff recruitment, hiring, and onboarding Qualifications Strong organizational skills and previous experience in managing people, projects, and processes Strong writing skills, especially as it relates to conveying complex quantitative analyses and policy concepts in simple terms Strong communication skills in a variety of channels to a wide range of audiences Strong client management skills Competence in spreadsheet modeling, cost/benefit analysis, and regression analysis Basic working knowledge of R, STATA and/or SAS Competence in working with large datasets Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Competence in Geographic Information Systems (e.g. ArcView GIS, SAS) and in spatial analysis techniques (helpful) Ability to thrive in collaborative, project-oriented setting with small groups of professionals Master’s level degree and/or current enrollment in doctoral program in any of the following majors: Economics, Government/Public Policy Social Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics Some technical and policy research experience Job Type/Compensation Full-time position with paid time off (PTO) Directors historically earn in the $100,000s to $120,000s in annual base pay, plus are eligible for an end-of-year performance bonus that has typically been anywhere from 3-15% of base pay.
